The 3rd International Street Medicine Symposium will be held in Houston Texas October 31st through November 3rd, 2007.  It looks like this will be the best meeting to date with full attendance from all previous cities as well as new participants from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oxford, Stockholm, Katmandhu and others.   The emphasis this year wil be on "Best Practices" in Street Medicine with selected presentations to highlight outstanding efforts.  

We are exceptionally blessed to have Jim O'Connell, MD as our keynote speaker.  He is the director of Boston's renowned Health Care for the Homeless and has been a true pioneer in the care of the homeless.  He has authored numerous articles on homeless health as well as the landmark textbook on the Health Care of Homeless Persons.  His insights should prove invaluable to all those involved in care for those living on the streets.
