WEBINAR: Children in Families Experiencing Homelessness

Join the Street Medicine Institute Student Coalition for a webinar with Beth Shinn, Vanderbilt University professor emerita and research professor, who will discuss the rise in children under 18 experiencing homelessness. Homelessness, driven by poverty and lack of affordable housing, affects families, and housing subsidies of 30% are income is shown to cut homelessness and improve outcomes like school attendance. Despite this, many families still face hardship, and children risk separation from parents legally or informally.
