WEBINAR- Taking it to the Streets: Hepatitis C Screening and Care within Street Medicine

Join the Street Medicine Institute Student Coalition for for a conversation with Jack and Amanda from Circle the City, a Street Medicine program in Phoenix, Arizona! Hepatitis C virus (HCV) remains a significant public health challenge, even in the era of highly effective curative therapies. Traditional, clinic‑based models of HCV screening and treatment often fail to reach individuals at greatest risk, particularly people experiencing homelessness. Integrating HCV services into alternative care models, such as street medicine, is essential to advancing HCV elimination efforts. In this webinar, we will review the current burden of HCV, outline recommendations for screening and treatment, and describe how the Circle the City team implemented a comprehensive HCV care program. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and contribute insights from their own HCV screening and care initiatives.
