Consultation Services

The Street Medicine Institute offers paid consultations for established and developing street medicine programs.

Each consultation is tailored to suit the needs of your individual program or organization. Consultations may include virtual discussions and/or in-person visits from SMI expert consultants. Consultants can play an active role in document and policy creation, shadow your team on street rounds, address stakeholders, or provide hands-on training to volunteers and staff. See common consultation topics below.

SMI consultation services can be built into your program’s existing grant budget as technical assistance or training. General consultation rates (in USD) are:

Virtual consultation- $165 per hour

On-site consultation- $2,200 per day, plus the cost of consultant travel

The initial discussion about your consultation needs is complimentary. If you are interested in learning more about a consultation for your program, please reach out to [email protected].

“The Street Medicine Consult service provided by Street Medicine Institute was fundamental to our success in organizing a service line at a large institution. The in-person visit helped UNM leadership understand the significance of delivering care to our unhoused neighbors is not only the right action, but that these actions can be sustainable through appropriate organizational structure and billing.”

- Lindsay E. Fox MSPAS, PA-C
Director, Center for Inclusive Health at UNM, General Internal Medicine Division
